I’m on my way to a conference in Atlanta, but when I get back on Wednesday I’ve got some fun things to share!
I made this as a Christmas present for my friend, Miriam. It’s clearly not good for the weather coming up… although in TN, you never know what you’re going to get from day to day. Just a thought for the fall and winter months.
The best thing about it is the fact there’s no ends to get caught in or get in your way during the day. You just slip it over you head and go!
I’ve been a busy bee this weekend. I’ve been crafting away, even trying my hand at sewing. I made a super cute gift for my friend having a baby. I don’t want to put it on here yet, because I don’t want her to see it quite yet. I’ve made a few necklaces and some random projects that I’ll be posting later. Thanks so much for the support I’ve gotten so far! Tell your friends about it!
Ok… cheesy title. I’m just a little bit obsessed with this necklace/scarf thing. If I wouldn’t look like a weirdo, I’d wear it everyday. It’s super soft, which makes it super comfortable. I made two the same day and just had to give one away so someone else could experience it. You could wear it like a plain necklace…
… or you could double it up and wear it like a scarf. Let’s be honest though–it does absolutely nothing to keep you warm. It just makes you look suuuuper cute.
I could make these in basically any color you want. I’m in the process of making a bright teal one. If you’re interested, let me know and I can get it to you asap!
I made this for my friends to give their daughter as a Christmas present. They told me a verse, a color, and GO! So this is what I came up with. It looks great hung up in her room! Very Caitie.
Not to mention, what a great piece of scripture to see everyday while walking out of your room to face the day!
This is one of the boutonnieres from our wedding. I used copies of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows to make the flowers and peacock feathers to act as the greenery. It added the perfect bit of uniqueness to the boys’ tuxes. Not to mention, it screamed to us because we’re major Harry Potter nerds. Perfection.
I’m in the middle of making some more boutonnieres and corsages for girls and their dates going to prom. I’ll post pictures of those once I get them all done and the girls get to wear them. They’ve got to have their proper grand debut. 🙂
I painted this and gave it to my mom for Mother’s Day in 2010. It’s a fabulous addition to her living room!
This painting is special to me. Clint and I painted it on our wedding day. Well… we painted the heart. 🙂 I had everything else painted on there, ready to go that day. We wanted to do a ceremony representing the fact that we were leaving our lives as individuals and coming together to become one. We had heard of pouring sand and unity candles, but we wanted something unique to us.
We decided on paint.
Paint is permanent. Once you put it on something, it will never come off. When you mix two paint colors, they’ll never be the same two colors again.
It’s the same with our marriage. We’ve left everything we knew our entire lives–our families, plans, habits, and traditions–and we’re mixing together to make one new life. And it’s permanent. 🙂
Also, we’re a team now. That’s why we each painted a side of the heart.
I painted this for Clint while I was away at school. It was a really stressful time in our lives together and separate. I painted it as a visual reminder that no matter what sort of craziness is going on in our life, love never fails.
Welcome to stuff you wish you had. I’m excited to finally be launching this thing that’s been in my head for years. I’ll be updating frequently with things I have already made or make along the way. Anything you see on here that’s not for sale can be recreated and I’d love to take some custom orders. I like to stretch my creativity. So take a look around and expect updates often!
